NAMFREL-CBCP-NASSA’s first Regional Assembly for the 2010 elections was held on February 1 and 2 at Lancaster Hotel in Mandaluyong City, attended by volunteers from NCR, Southern Tagalog, and Bicol. Participants were briefed on the automated election, its strengths and weaknesses. The Comelec was present to make a PCOS demonstration.

The Assembly was also a consultation on how NAMFREL-CBCP-NASSA could best serve the volunteers who would like to serve in the coming election through NAMFREL. The volunteers expressed their continuous adherence to the cause of free and fair elections in the country, and affirmed their commitment to volunteer for NAMFREL no matter what happens to NAMFREL-CBCP-NASSA’s petition for accreditation.
